Why is there a dress code?

There is a dress code to represent different levels in our studio. It is a way for the student to visually see their progress by changing the color of leotard for each level. It is also to ensure the instructor can give proper corrections by being able to see the dancer’s movement more accurately.

Where do I purchase dance attire?

There are many places to choose from. A-1 Dance and Theatrical is located near the studio and they offer a great selection. They are located at 22120 Redwood Rd Castro Valley, CA (510) 537-8288.

What level should I register for?

Please view our class descriptions page for questions regarding our levels. We are also happy to answer this question after meeting and evaluating the student. Please note that there is only a certain amount of space in each class so register early to save your spot!

Do you allow drop in classes?

Yes! We encourage anyone to drop in for a class. Performance classes are not available for drop-ins however.

Do you offer private lessons?

We do offer private lessons in any genre of dance we have on the schedule. Please contact us for information on available times and days for private lessons.

Do toddlers need to be potty trained in order to take class?

Yes, we do ask our toddlers to be potty trained prior to signing up. This allows for a more structured class atmosphere with few interruptions.

Do you offer classes for adults?

We offer Adult Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Senior Tap classes.

Do you need to already be a trained dancer to attend the adult classes?

All ability levels are welcome.  Meghan and Tito are very experienced with mixed level classes. We make sure all students are having fun and being challenged. Please note that Adult Lyrical and Tappin Seniors are more intermediate levels so previous dance experience is helpful.

What are the “Perf” classes listed on the schedule?

Levels 1-4 who take the respective technique classes (Ballet, Tap, Jazz) may enroll in the performance class. Levels 1-4 performance classes will perform at the recital as well as various fairs throughout the community.
